Public Service Announcement Series
Welcome to Weston’s very first Public Service Announcement video series! The Weston Ambassadors have created this video series as in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to run workshops face to face. However, even though we cannot see each other face to face, we would like to start a conversation around some important topics. Weston Ambassadors has partnered alongside Trinity Theatre to engage our student community and foster a sense of voice, identity and belonging. We hope these videos serve as a tool that will help educate you better around issues that students, teachers, and society as a whole face.
Video #1: The Values of Community
The first video we have created focuses on the topic of the "Values of Community". It was created by 4 amazing students from the Weston Ambassadors: Ilhan, Oniek, Oshea and Omashwehar. In the video, the students touch on the importance of community and how and why it is important for students to be involved within their community.
Video #2: Respect
This video focuses on the importance of respect between people as well as your community. This video was created by Ashnaa and Naisha with the purpose of explaining why respect is so important and refreshing our minds on why respect is such an important part of our character.
Video #3: Exam Prep & Handling Stress
This video focuses on the how students can prepare for their examinations and cope with the pressures and stress associated during those stressful times. This video was created by Anraj, Linda, Shagathiya, Japdip, with the purpose of walking you through how to develop good study habits so that you can ensure you do not burn yourself out during the school year. School can get the best of us sometimes, so it is important to find a balance and routine that works for you.
