RESOURCES
This video was created by Weston and Rexdale students who researched issues that were deep rooted into the communities of Weston and Rexdale. After researching these issues, they came up with a project called WestDale Blooms which is focused on tackling the negative stigmas and food insecurity issues that these two communities hold while also working towards beautifying the community and making it more sustainable.
The HER Story video was created by a group of students from the Weston Future Aces Club at Weston Collegiate Institute in honour of International Women's Day and Women's History Month. The video features the amazing, beautiful and empowering females from our school.
This video was made in honour of Educator Appreciation Week! It was created by the Weston Ambassadors, and a group of students from the Weston Future Aces Club. The video is a true testament to the appreciation we all have for the superheros in our school.
Remembrance Day is an extremely special and important day to recognize. The Weston Future Aces and Weston Ambassadors wanted to remember and show appreciation for all the fallen soldiers and our veterans. It is because of them that we are able to go to bed with a peace of mind. Words cannot express the gratitude we have for them, we made this video to express it to the best of our ability.
Valentines Day is the time for us to show love and appreciation for each other! The Weston Ambassadors & Weston Aces collaborated on this project to hopefully bring a smile to all of your faces and show that we are a family and united front despite the distance between us. We love you all!

INDIGENOUS AWARENESS
In honour of the 215 indigenous students found in the residential school in British Columbia. Weston acknowledges that we are on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We remember all students who had to face the harsh and terrifying reality of the residential schools and will not let any student go lost or be forgotten. Hundreds of students have been forced into such mortifying events and as students it is up to us to make and create change for the better of us and our community. Even though we may not be able to Change Canada's past dark history look forth to seek Justice and Awarness for the indigenous community.
Silent Screams
By: Asli Yusuf
They made us believe their lies
Told us if we changed we would rise
But like prisoners we were chained
Everyday we were stained
Muffled our voices
Only gave us two choices
Either to stay and forget our culture or die
Always asking myself, Why oh why
Being locked inside, silently crying
We are silently dying
They leave cuts and bruises behind
Slowly losing our souls and minds
Hearing the screams of pain
Wondering if I’ll ever stay sane
Do you hear my silent scream?
Beneath the ground, I am sent to dream
I want to go back home
I want to have my story told
I want to be free
All I want is to be me
